  3. Advocacy Project Goal(s) • Increase the success rate in math. • For this purpose success will be defined as a C or better. • Increase the % of students taking math.

  4. Problem Summary and Baseline Data • Students not enrolled in math • Students not at grade level • 72% of freshmen enter below grade level • District mandates Algebra 1-2 for freshmen

  5. Collaboration • District Math TOSA • Math teachers in building / district wide • Building Administration • Counselors

  7. Results So FarShow Current Data • 100% of Freshmen enrolled in Math • 98% of Sophomores enrolled in Math • 76% of Juniors enrolled in Math • 40% of Seniors enrolled in Math

  8. Next Steps • Discussion with staff up coming issues • Prepare for district change in requirement status • Review Algebra 1 AB / Algebra 2 AB information in light of Discovering Algebra • Revisit daily schedule / master schedule • Discussion of Math performance outcomes
