3-D Shapes 3-D means the shape has 3 dimensions; length, width and depth.
3-D Shapes Sphere Cylinder Cone Long tube with 2 equal sized circular ends. Every point on the surface of the sphere is the same distance from the centre. A pyramid with a circular cross section. The point of the cone is directly above the centre of the circular base.

Homework • Choose a 3D shape and design a promotion poster for it. What makes this shape special? What are its properties? What is it used for/where is it seen (for example, packaging, buildings) and what makes it a good shape for this use?
