  1. Teacher Access to Student Performance (TASP) and Student Growth Measures Summer Principals Academy Abilene, KS July 23, 2014

  2. TASP Overview • Currently educators now have the ability to verify student course rosters provided to KSDE by school districts. • Since student performance is a mandated component of each educator’s evaluation, it is important that the educator is aware of the students for which he/she is being held responsible. • Teacher Access to Student Performance (TASP) provides educators the ability to review their student’s history of State Assessment scores. • Historical assessment information also assists teachers in providing effective instructional curriculum especially to new students entering their classrooms.

  3. TASP Scope • Gives principals the ability to review teacher-course-student rosters and provide a percent-of-time weighting to each teacher-course and or teacher-course-student relationship. • Gives teachers the ability to review and comment on their student course rosters as submitted to KSDE by the district via KIDS STCO records and include the percent-of-time weighting provided by the principal. • Give teachers the ability to review the history on state assessments for their students. This will be only for the subject taught to the student by the teacher.

  4. TASP Roles • The Educator Data Reports will be accessed by the following roles: • School Approve (Principals) • School Update (Teachers) • District Read Only • KSDE Admin • KSDE Read Only

  18. Authenticated Applications Teachers who do not have access to KSDE web applications need to register.

  19. Authenticated Applications • KSDE Teacher ID • Some applications, such as TASP, have an additional step that requires an educator to enter his/her State Teacher ID and Social Security Number. Both are required when requesting access to TASP. Once that information has been entered, click on the “Submit” button.

TASP Overview: Data Flow One Principal One Teacher STCO KIDS STCO records will populate the educator roster in TASP KIDS Coordinator TASP Course 1 Student 1 Student 2 Student 3 Student 4 Student 5 Course 3 Student 1 Student 2 Student 3 Student 4 Student 5 Course 2 Student 1 Student 2 Student 3 Student 4 Student 5

  21. Data Flow Review • EDCS course assignments must be done in EDCS before educators are available in TASP. • STCO records must be submitted to KIDS before students are displayed in TASP. • Teachers will only be able to view rosters once STCO records have been submitted to KIDS. • Any changes that occur in the SIS after STCO records are submitted may impact subsequent STCO records that are sent up to correct or update data.
