Land Use Petition • Seventeen property owners signed a petition to change the proposed 2010 Comprehensive Land Use from low/middle residential to a mixed use of high density residential and retail. • The Raleigh Planning Department recommended high density residential and office. On June 4th, the Raleigh Planning Board approved the land change use for the blue shaded area. • The Raleigh Planning Department opposition to high density residential/retail was because they did not want a gas station to be built on the corner, but stated that they were open for the right retail development as well as rezoning the whole 6.67 acres.
