Recommendations Two main goals: • Infrastructure( lab , farm, extension, libraries) • Human Resources(Skills, training, exchanging experts,participatory research)
Recommendations • Eradicating farmers illiteracy . • Develop agricultural schools to be more business oriented and providing job opportunities for the graduated ones. • Change universities curriculum, syllabus to fit product development tasks. • Enforce national lab. Networking to prevent redundancy .
Training women farmers for better agricultural management. • Providing specific training for farmers families( to keep the young generation from migration from villages to cities) to use advanced technologies to improve livelihood.
Development of Rural ICT Centers in villages and rural areas(examples from Iran). • Involvement of farmers associations in CD. • Invest on CD by private sectors, donors, farmers associations, to train farmers to interact with international markets in respect to increasing products quality and safety; it required special producer trainings.
Importance of ICT tools in CD • Using appropriate tools to share, exchange and communicate. • E-learning • Creating virtual e-libraries • Special farmers networks(market forecast, weather forecast, extension brochure, practices and recommendations,…) • Audio visual tutorials
Skills What ? Where? How? • Interdisciplinary research skills • Product development management skills • Participatory approach between researchers, extension and farmers. • To enhance HR skills related to use the appropriate communication tools.
Enforcing women training in agricultural management to provide more working opportunities. • Enforce legistlation for e-learning
