Genesis 創世記 41:39-4139法老對約瑟說:「 神既然把這事指示了你，就再沒有人像你這樣有見識有智慧了。40你可以掌管我的家，我的人民都要聽從你的話; 只有在王位上我比你大。」41法老又對約瑟說:「你看，我任命你治理埃及全地。」 39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you. 40 You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.” 41 So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt.”

Gen 3717約瑟去追尋哥哥們, 結果在多坍找到了他們. 18他們遠遠就看見了他;趁他還沒有走近,大家就謀害他,要把他殺死. 19他們彼此說:「看哪,那作夢的人來了. 20來吧!我們把他殺了,丟在一個枯井裡,就說有猛獸把他吃了.我們要看看他的夢將來要怎麼樣.」21流本 (流便) 聽見了,要救約瑟脫離他們的手. 他說:「我們不可取他的性命」22流本又對他們說:「不可流他的血,可以把他丟在這曠野的枯井裡,不可下手害他」… 17 Joseph went after his brothers and found them near Dothan. 18 But they saw him in the distance, and before he reached them, they plotted to kill him.  19 "Here comes that dreamer!" they said to each other. 20 "Come now, let's kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns and say that a ferocious animal devoured him. Then we'll see what comes of his dreams."  21 When Reuben heard this, he tried to rescue him from their hands. "Let's not take his life," he said. 22 "Don't shed any blood. Throw him into this cistern here in the desert, but don't lay a hand on him.“…

Gen 3726猶大對他的眾兄弟說：“我們殺了我們的兄弟，把他的血隱藏起來，究竟有甚麼益處呢？ 27我們不如把他賣給以實瑪利人，不要下手害他，因為他是我們的兄弟，我們的骨肉。”眾兄弟就聽從了他。 28有些米甸的商人經過那裡，約瑟的哥哥們就把約瑟從枯井裡拉上來，以二十塊銀子把他賣給以實瑪利人。以實瑪利人就把約瑟帶到埃及去了。 26 Judah said to his brothers, "What will we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood? 27 Come, let's sell him to the Ishmaelites and not lay our hands on him; after all, he is our brother, our own flesh and blood." His brothers agreed.  28 So when the Midianite merchants came by, his brothers pulled Joseph up out of the cistern and sold him for twenty shekels of silver to the Ishmaelites, who took him to Egypt.

So there was no one with Joseph when he made himself known to his brothers. 2 And he wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard him, and Pharaoh's household heard about it.  3 Joseph said to his brothers, "I am Joseph! Is my father still living?" But his brothers were not able to answer him, because they were terrified at his presence.  4 Then Joseph said to his brothers, "Come close to me." When they had done so, he said, "I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt!
