  3. What is BYOD? • Rather than telling students to leave their devices at home, BYOD allows students to use the technology with which they feel most comfortable — namely, their own notebooks, tablets and smartphones — in class. • Variant of a 1:1 program

  4. Research Supports It • 85% of parents (and 90% of K-2 parents) agree that mobiles and apps can make learning fun. • 77% agree that they promote curiosity. • 74% agree that they help their child know local and global current events. • 63% agree that they teach problem-solving.
