Fed up with fighting and losing battles on the phones with low-level managed care bureaucrats who frequently denied care and services that the doctors desperately wanted to provide,
a new breed of doctors like Dr. Solomon opted for another way: taking back sovereignty and autonomy over decision-making:
Dr. Solomon and his colleagues had to accept an equal portion of the financial risk of caring for all of their patients. There is only one (big) catch:
