Introduction Telford College recognise the importance that small sided football has in encouraging 16 to 19 year olds to get involved for the first time or to help them regain their touch. The Aim is to introduce new players, support old players to get back into football and retain and progress them once involved. Team 19 Leagues To Date • In November 2010 we launch the 5 aside intramural league at TCAT • Monday and Friday males • Tuesday females • Leagues would last 8 weeks in total (Quick turn around which allows new players to join in) • Holiday Scheme – Allowed players or teams to take a break without having to resign up. • We targeted 16 to 19 year olds (New Players) • The over all target was 29 male teams and 6 female teams.
IN 2010 CCFC was put in place in 2010 (Lewis Taylor) Intramural leagues was introduced again along with a S.M.T to run it IN 2012 The Wish is to have a recognisable brand which students can relate to IN 2011 Team 19 was introduced to Telford College and already raised the profile with 2 new female teams and 3 male teams IN 2008 George Armstrong (TCAT Tutor) lead the college intramural leagues (Tutor Lead) IN 2011 Team 19 National Launch at Telford College November 2011 IN 2009 TCAT College was awarded with a FESCO officer (Adrian Fisher) to support George with the intramural league (Tutor Lead)
