  2. Maryland Could it be that one day the only place to find a Baltimore oriole in the state of Maryland is in a baseball stadium? Scientists say the state bird gradually is moving north, as a warming planet affects the seasons and the birds’ habitat.

  3. Mississippi Storms and floods due to a warming planet may have casinos in the Mississippi Delta rolling snake eyes. Casinos in Mississippi must operate on barges or near the high water line. Extreme weather has forced the closure of these casinos. And a shuttered casino generates no revenue.
