ASEAN Clearing-House Mechanism • ReFOP: ASEAN-German Regional Forest Programme for Southeast Asia • ReFOP is currently developing a web-based information platform geared to support ASEAN Forestry Officials in information and knowledge exchange for regional forest policy coordination. • Participating countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and the ASEAN Secretariat • Geared to decision makers, • Access is semi public & registered users

Linkages to GFIS Through the use of GFIS standards it is hoped that the GFIS initiative is promoted and supported within the ASEAN Member Countries and awareness. • ReFOP is developing its system with the Dublin Core as meta data standard • ReFOP is using XML as the Mark Up language • ReFOP is eager to adopt a controlled vocabulary for metadata elements developed by GFIS, when it is available.
