PBIS @ Broadview Middle • How does this work? • A student receives an initial in their folder if they have not displayed appropriate behaviors. • Once a student has (4-1st semester & 3-November) initials, he/she is referred to the office
PBIS @ Broadview Middle • How does this work? • If a student has no initials they earn 10 BOBCAT BUCKS per day. • 1 initial= 8 BOBCAT BUCKS • (lose 2 BUCKS) • 2 initials=5 BOBCAT BUCKS • (lose an additional 3 BUCKS-5 total) • 3 initials=0 BOBCAT BUCKS • (lose an additional 5 BUCKS-10 total)
PBIS @ Broadview Middle • How does this work? • Payday is every Friday • Paychecks are deposited into BOBCAT BANK for incentives. • Students spend their money @ BOBCAT School Store. (Discretionary BUCKS and their Bank Account).

BOBCAT BUCKS • Paychecks- • Every Friday for student behavior. • Deposited in Bobcat Bank for trips. • Discretionary BUCKS- • Daily from all faculty and staff. • Used for drawings and in School Store.

PBIS in Alamance-Burlington • 2006-2007 Two middle schools fully implementing (Broadview Middle, Graham Middle) • 2007-2008 Seven new schools participating in training (6 Elementary, 1 Alternative School) • End of 2007-2008 We will have 9 schools out of our 35 district-wide implementing PBIS with additional schools already interested in training for 2008 - 2009
PBIS in Alamance-Burlington • Currently we have two PBIS trainers within our system • Trainers serve as district support and on-site support when possible • ABSS and Chapel Hill/Carboro City Schools have teamed up to provide training for new sites within the Central Region
PBIS in Alamance-BurlingtonHow do we support our schools? • Trainers attend PBIS team meetings at individual schools • PBIS sites share information, visit, and collaborate regarding ideas, what works, etc. • The EC department has set up a website that includes links, information regarding data collection, and other resources to be used by any PBIS site in ABSS. • We are collaborating with Student Support to fund a grant to provide PBIS coaches/counselors for 5 schools currently implementing.
