Aligning and Peaking Prior to Aligning: • Clear line of sight • ODU securely mounted • Mast is level and plumb • Elevation is set • Tilt is set
Aligning and Peaking Tools and Materials: • Signal Level Meter • Compass/inclinometer • 3-foot Jumper • Appropriate ODU assembly and adjustment tools
Single-satellite ODU Acquiring a Signal: • Use your compass/inclinometer to point the ODU • Connect the jumper to the LNB and meter • Turn on meter • Peaking is the process of moving the azimuth and elevation by small amounts to achieve the highest overall signal
