History • The term appears in the writings of Professor of Political Science / Geography Swedish Rudolf Kjellén first in a course in 1905 entitled The great powers of this and a subsequent book, Stormakterna For its author, geopolitics is "the science of the state as organism or as a geographical entity in space that is to say the state as a country, territory, area or, more characteristically, as reign. As political science, it notes firmly state unity and wants to contribute to the understanding of the nature of the state.
