  4. I-94 Rehabilitation Project Limits

  5. I-94 Project Background • Existing: • 6 lanes built in 1950’s • major interchanges at I-75 and US-10 • left-hand entrances and exits • numerous pavement resurfacings • on-going maintenance of over 60 bridges • serves 120,000 – 160,000 ADT

I-94 Project Background • Proposed 7 Mile Project • 8-lane reconstruction • 160,000 – 215,000 ADT (2025) • Add continuous service drives (both sides) • Pedestrian crossings and sidewalks • Remove left-hand entrances and exits • Redesign M-10 and I-75 interchanges • State of the art drainage system • Auxiliary lanes for weaving • Adequate acceleration and deceleration lanes
