  2. What is Section 508 Section 508 is an amendment to the United States Workforce Rehabilitation Act of 1973. It is a federal law mandating that all electronic and information technology developed, procured, maintained or used by the federal government be accessible to people with disabilities.

Moderator Web Tool Alternatives • There are two alternatives to the moderator web tool functions • Dual Tone-Multi Frequency (DTMF) commands on a touch-tone phone • Call the NTC 1-877-857-6272 • The following slides are focused on a list of functions that are accessible on the vendor’s website and offer alternatives • This presentation is designed for those dependent upon the website being 508 compliant

Moderator Web Tool Alternatives Pre- Conference Alternatives • Procedure: (Call into your Instant Meeting conference) • Pre-Conference by Moderator • Edit conference entry method (Silent, Tone, Name announced): DTMF *39 • Call the NASA Teleconferencing Center (NTC) 1-877-857-6272 for the following: • Edit Conference Info and Passcodes • Edit other Conference Options

Moderator Web ToolIn-Conference Alternatives In-Conference by Moderator or Participant In-Conference by Moderator Only Request public roll call: DTMF *92 Activate Sub-Conference: DTMF *21 Participants enter #1-9 to sub-conference OR Moderator enters #0 to stop all sub-conferences Mute all lines: DTMF *96 Moderator enters 1 to allow Participants to unmute OR Moderator enters 2 to disallow Participants from unmuting Unmute all lines: DTMF *97 Lock conference: DTMF *94 Unlock conference: DTMF *94 Record a conference: DTMF *22 Participant Count: DTMF *91 • Self-Mute / Unmute: DTMF *6 • Private Help Menu: DTMF *1 • End conference for all: DTMF *93 • Decrease conference volume of participant: DTMF *7 • Decrease Moderator volume: DTMF *8 • Increase conference volume of participant: DTMF *4 • Increase Moderator volume: DTMF *5
