  2. The Big Picture • Tune Radio • Listen to Pilot Channel • Listen to Synchronization Channel • Transmit Sync data via RS232 • Listen to Paging Channel • Transmit Paging data to PC

  3. Main Control Unit

Computer Interface • High Speed USB->UART converter chip for communications between the FPGA and PC • Each control unit will have access to talk to host PC • Software written in Python will interface with the USRP to set center frequency • USRP transmits I/Q data to PC, which then forwards it to the FPGA

  5. Pilot Channel

  6. Synchronization Channel

  7. Paging Channel

  8. Network ID, System ID, Incoming Caller IDs, Outgoing Call Information, GPS Atomic Time… and perhaps in the future… Full-duplex voice conversations
