  2. MAIN CHARACTERS AMY CAHILL She is a 14 year old girl who looks out for her younger brother, Dan. She is cautious, but adventurous. DAN CAHILL He is an 11 year old boy. His older sister, Amy, cares a lot about him. He is a daredevil type who likes to take risks.

  3. SETTING A tiny Indonesian island where Amy and Dan were stranded.

  4. External Conflict They’ve just seen a woman die on the island. They are wanted by the Indonesian police. They are trapped on the island with a man who knows too much about the death of their parents. They eventually get saved by a man named Nelly.

  5. My Prediction I thought that Amy and Dan were going to end up dying on the island. My prediction was not correct because they got off the island and were safe.

  6. Summary ADVENTUROUS HEART-BREAKING • SUSPENSEFUL • STORMY • UPSETTING • SCARY • MYSTERIOUS • JOYFUL

  7. The Message The message of this book is that you should never give up. Keep trying and good things will happen.
