SS Structure/Curriculum/Focus NOTE: Kindergarten is a stand alone class and has lunch from 11:30AM —12:10PM
Pg. 8 of Handbook DAY 1 Teacher Schedule 8:00 Help Great Parents/Check out curriculum 8:30 Assembly/School Starts Be in Cafeteria-Site by grade level (students) 9:00-9:30M (1st Period/Home Room) Line students. Ballots will be handed to you by the AAs and start balloting process and explain rules. Quick count. 10:00 - 10:15 BREAK 10:15 - 11:45 Period 2 (Home Room) Complete Ballot Process. Send ballots to office ASAP 11:30-12:10 Lunch (Kindergarten) Walk students over to cafetria 11:45 - 12:25 Lunch (1st-5th grades) Walk students over to cafeteria 12:25 -2PM Teachers Collaborating Pick students up from the yard and take to K TEACHERS REMAIN WITH THEIR STUDENTS cafeteria. Then, report to Site Liaison classroom for creation of WIN and finalizing Balloting. NOTE 1 from 12:25-2PM students will be in the cafeteria with the ASES staff watching a movie as the teachers finalize the Balloting process and create WIN groups. Note 2—2PM-4:30PM Administrative Assistants and Clerks: complete/support rosters and creating lanyards with student namesand support. Teachers should pick up their Enrichment material from office. Note 3—Administrative Assistants will work with Clerks to type, copy, and email the rosters for Enrichment and WIN classes by teacher. Master Student Rosters/ Proficiency Roster Reports will be provided to create WIN groups
Day 2 8:30AM-10AM (Home Room)—AAs will be handing out hard copies of the WIN and Enrichment Rosters and will hand out lanyards between 9:15 and 9:45AM. Teachers will work with students to complete lanyards. 10:00 - 10:15 BREAK 10:15AM Teachers will meet students in “yard” and line them up by teacher and walk them over to their classroom. 10:15 - 11:45 Period 2 (WIN)—Work with students to explain where their next class will be. Consider teaming them up so they go together (e.g., “Manuel, Sabrina, Joseph, and Raul—It looks like you all have the same Enrichment 3rd period, make sure you find teacher NAME and be together after lunch”.). 11:45 - 12:25 LUNCH NOTE: K Lunch from 11:30—12:10PM --Walk students over 12:25 Teachers—Meet students at yard, line students up and walk them over to 3rd period Enrichment. Ensure students make it to their next period 12:25 - 1:10 Period 3 (Enrichment) 1:10 - 1:15 Transition/BREAK: Teachers—Meet students at yard, line students up and walk them over to 4th period Enrichment. Ensure students make it to their next period 1:15 - 2:00 Period 4 (Enrichment)—Collect Lanyards and hand them to Clerk by end of day. 2PM-6PM Students in ASES

Curriculum & Supply Material 1st Period—Science Kits DAY 1: Check out material (ENTER TIME) from Media Clerk Note-you may do History Exploration in lieu of Science. Please see Website for the resources. For further questions please email Jennifer Cervantez (jcervantez@ceres.k12.ca.us) 2nd Period—CC Standards Plus Will be delivered by June 5th to sites (office) along with general supply box. Note—Proficient and Advanced teachers do not need to use/pick up this material. If you are not, please let SS clerk know. Out of District Teachers have been invited to Standards Plus training on May 27th. See Monique Guerrero if you have not been invited. 3rd/4th Period—Enrichment Material Will be delivered June 9th (1st day of school) to ASES by 2PM. General Policies / Procedures / Practices FIRST DAY Before School:Pick up attendance sheets from clerk. During Line-Up:Take “Quick Count” During Assembly: Huddle to “tentatively” decide how to divide. After Assembly:Divide students by home room teacher. Adjustments and reinforcements will be made if needed.

Plan/Process For Collapsing Classes • 1st Day—Assess number of students • 2nd Day—If any class is under 10 students, we will do the following by the 3rd day; • look at combining with another grade level. • Move a teacher to another grade level at the same site. • Move the teacher to another site (Out-of-District teachers will be moved first).
