VP200 Q&A:General • Power LED is not lit. • Check power cable if it is well connected. • Verify that you are using VP200 power supply. • VP200 is connected to a network with traffic, and LTR is not flashing. • If there is data transmitting on the network, LTR led shall flash. If it doesn’t, check network cable connection and verify that the network is good. • Only Power and LTR are lit. • Switch power to check again • Restore default factory settings VPON Q & A
VP200 Q&A:General • Bad video quality. • Raise the video quality setting. • Check video quality from cameras. • Adjust VGA color to be at least 65536 color. • No video • Check video cable, connector, power of camera. Use a TV set to verify the functionality of cameras. • Redetect camera. • Check the corresponding Q&A of each running mode of VP200 for this problem. • Cannot control PTZ camera • Check cable connection and power of the camera. • COM2 parameters are not correct, or not accommodate with the PTZ device. VP200 Q&A:Network Mode • Cannot access VP200 from browser. • Verify network cable is well connected to hub and the network is good. • Make sure you are using IP in the same subnet of VP200. • Clear the ARP list. • If you are running MS Proxy Client on your PC, and the IP assigned to VP200 is not a valid local IP on the network. Try to allocate a valid local IP to VP200 or disable MS Proxy Client from the Control Panel. • If you can ping the IP of VP200, disconnect VP200 from network and ping this IP again. If there is a response, then you have a duplicated IP addresses on the network. • Clear your browser’s cache and make browser to check if there is newer version of web page at every visit. • If you still cannot access VP200, try disable proxy in your browser. VP200 Q&A:Network Mode • If you can access video of VP200 in intranet, but failed to access video from internet: • Check the settings of firewall and proxy server. VP200 use standard HTTP protocol and port 80. It might be necessary to enable those video MIME types (video/x-nficwmh263 and video/x-nficwmhjpeg ) of VP200 to be granted by your firewall or proxy server. Also check if they allow large data transmission. • Disable proxy server settings of your browser. • Browser stops responding on mouse click • You are openning too many video streams. • You are openning more than one video stream from the same camera. • Your PC is too slow, upgrade and accelerate your system. • READY LED is not lit. • Check network connection. VP200 Q&A:ISP Mode • VP200 failed to connect to ISP. • Check cable connection, modem and phone line. • VP200 cannot compatible with most of ISDN TA under ISP Mode. • Verify ISP phone number, user account, and password are correct. • Check the line of ISP is not busy. • VP200 connected to ISP, but cannot being accessed. • If the IP assigned to VP200 is assigned by ISP and VP200 failed to regiter itself to the specified registry server, check the settings of registry server and make sure the registry server is working well. VP200 Q&A:Viewer Mode Viewer Mode (Power & LTR & Status3 LEDs are lit) • Cannot connect with Viewer through RS232 cable. • Check cable connection. • Try connecting with WCOMW to make sure com ports and cable connection are good. • Select the same baud rate as VP200. If you are not sure, restore default factory settings or try each available baud rate. • Installed with a modem, but READY LED is not lit. • Check cable connection. • Use a 33.6Kbps modem or higher. • Reconnect the cable. • Use a normal PC to verify the functionality of this modem. VP200 Q&A:Viewer Mode • Cannot connect with Viewer through modem. • Check cable connection, phone line, status of modems. • If On-hook (OH) indicator of modem installed on PC is not lit when dialing: • Check the functionality of this modem and check the com port setting. • Reinstall this modem if necessary. • If it still not dialing, contact with its manufacturer. • If AutoAnswer (AA) indicator of modem installed on VP200 is not flashing • Check the phone line is working. • If AA is flashing, but VP200 do not accept the call. • Try to find appropriate modem initial string and setup into VP200. VP200 Q&A:Viewer Mode • If VP200 accept the call but call setup is incomplete or if call setup is finished but nothing is transmiited • Reconnect again. • Verify the quality of phone line. • Try to find appropriate modem initial string and setup into VP200. • Cannot connect with Viewer through ISDN TA. • Check cable connection, phone line and functionality of TA • Verify TA driver is well installed on PC. • VPON cannot use TA under PPP mode. • Try to find appropriate TA initial string and setup into VP200. VP300 Q&A:General • The LCD is not lit when power on. • Check power cable if it is well connected. • Network indicator is not lit. • Check the network cable connection • Verify the network is working, you can ping an existing device on the network. • Power off VP300, wait at least 20 seconds, power on VP300 and verify again. • LCD backlight is lit and the display of text is freezed. • Switch power to check again • Revise the latest workable FW by WCOMW.
