The Situation • IPM Centers, a component of 406, is not in the proposed USDA budget • USDA employees are constrained to support the President’s proposal • AFRI 2010 is no home for IPM Centers • Remaining discussion: should IPM centers and other 406 IPM programs be integrated into AFRI ?
Are IPM Centers a Good Investment? What is the return on investment?
Is IPM itself a good investment? Moving IPM funds without also moving programs would represent a significant shift by USDA away from support for IPM
