  5. Esophagus • Transports food to the stomach.

  6. Stomach • Stomach acids and other enzymes mix with food to producechyme.

  7. Small Intestine • Nutrients are absorbed into the blood and carried through out the body.

  8. Liver • Creates and releases bile into the small intestine to help further break down food.

  9. Pancreas • Secretes hormones such as insulin into the small intestine to help the body change food into fuel.

  10. Large Intestine • Prepares waste for elimination from the body. Rectum • Where waste exits the body
