Connect DB9 serial cable to Console port
Communication via Console app with the following : 9600bps (115,200 for XLP), 8-N-1, no Flow control
8. Hardware Installation Log onto AX4000
username:root, password:ax4000 (spirent for XLP)
9. Hardware Installation Type “Config”: Enter IP Address, Network Mask and Default Gateway as prompted
10. Hardware Installation Type “yes” to update the config.

Current Release is 4.71
Installation
The CD for Windows will start the installation automatically. In case it didn’t, open folder “disk1” and run Setup.exe.
Choose default settings to finish the software installation.
Launch App. GUI via Network Access GUI.

Click Admin -> Assign Systems -> Enter chassis IP address under IP Address Column -> Assign Locally -> Quit

16. To check options enabled The About command displays information on the AX/4000 software version and contact information for Adtech. The About window also displays the Windows’ free memory.
The About Window also displays chassis and port information. Chassis information includes the system ID and the type of timestamp. Port information includes information on hardware and enabled options. Double click a port or system item in the display window to see the chassis or port information
