  5. The Importance of Experience & History • Gordon Whittier (Scott’s Father) Started a Moulding Company in Redmond, Oregon in 1952. This Facility Employed 500 people. 23 Years of Extensive Experience was Learned and Passed to Succeeding Generations. • In 1975, Whittier Wood Products Incorporated in Eugene, Oregon. Peak Employment Grew to 550 Employees. Learning and Experience Continued for an Additional 30 years. • During this Time, Whittier Accumulated 53 Combined Years of Wood Working Experience • Whittier has Maintained Key Relationships with Global Suppliers for many Years and has Vast Raw Material Procurement Experience. • We have Extensive Experience with MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) and LEAN (Toyota Production System) Manufacturing Systems. • Whittier has an Expansive Customer Base Throughout North America and Several International Locations. • Bottom Line: Whittier’s Vast Experience and Understanding of Furniture Manufacturing; Our Solid Supply Chain Management Experience; Our Expansive Customer Base, and Our Experience and Understanding of the Distribution Channels, Position Us Well for Future Growth.
