    3. This slide depicts the cadet’s Military Science development over the 47 month experience. Specifically, the slide shows the titles of each of the 8 core course and the sequence in which they are taken. Key to this slide is describing that 1st Term instruction will focus on tactics while reflecting back on the previous summer experience and 2nd Term instruction concentrates on tactics while preparing cadets for their upcoming summer experience. The cadet rank structure on the right corresponds to the content of each year’s curriculum, i.e. NCO Corps issues will be discussed during MS301 when they are cadet sergeants. 10. - This slide provides the instructor with an opportunity to discuss the structure of the MS Core Program. MS Core classes will be held during regular academic hours on all 1 Days and 2 Day Odds according to the Academy Schedule (i.e. “buff card”). M Hour is the Commandant’s Hour on all 1 Day Odd lessons. Seminar-based instruction refers to non-lecture form of instruction where the instructor facilitates discussion amongst the cadets. The MS Core program will “bring the the Army into the classroom.” We will discuss “green” not “gray” issues with cadets in everything we do in the classroom. DMI6’s intent is to bring the Army into the classroom. - This slide provides the instructor with an opportunity to discuss the structure of the MS Core Program. 14. Conduct of classes in MS will be no different than class expectations in other academic classes, but more importantly, it is important for every instructor to meet the Director’s intent of bringing the Army into the classroom. Given that, no cadet issues will be discussed in class; instead, discuss what is happening out in the Army. Routinely cadets will bring up issues happening in the Corps of Cadets - relate that example to show what they can expect to see in the Army as lieutenants. Conduct in the classroom is paramount to all else. Proper conduct reflects a level of professionalism by the cadets and the appropriate level of respect for the instructor and the course. When in doubt, ask yourself “what would I expect from a classroom of Lieutenants?” Conduct of classes in MS will be no different than class expectations in other academic classes, but more importantly, it is important for every instructor to meet the Director’s intent of bringing the Army into the classroom.
