  2. Our millwrights have been trained on everything they are asked to do on a jobsite. The curriculum our apprentices receive is always evolving to meet the needs and challenges our contractors and new technologies demand.

  3. Our qualified specialists are trained in the latest products and techniques in everything from optical alignment to welding.

  4. Apprenticeship training for a Union Millwright includes: 4 calendar years of training 500-plus school hours 6,000-plus jobsite hours

  5. Courses include: Math Precision optics Machinery alignment Conveyors Machinery installation Pump repair Welding and Rigging . . .Just to name a few!

  6. We offer supervisor training to our Union Millwrights, which includes: Planning and scheduling Contracts and negotiations Cost control

  7. We train our project supervisors in the techniques of: Motivation Effective communication Problem-solving Leadership

  8. We will offer your UBC personnel access to any training offered at our training centers, including journey-level upgrade courses and skill enhancement training. All of our available training is at no cost to you, our valued contractor.

  9. The Regional Council invests $4 million annuallyin training our Union millwrights.

  10. We have a highly skilled, professional and mobile workforce, whenyou want them and for as longas you want them.We offer continuous training to ensure comprehensive understanding of the evolving construction industry.

  11. If we need specialty training to meet the needs of your facility or specialized craft work, we are ready to meet that challenge.

  12. We think safetyis so important that we will provide safety training to all of your employees.
