2. Mission of STTI • To support the learning, knowledge and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in health worldwide.

3. Vision of STTI • To create a global community of nurses who lead in using knowledge, scholarship, service and learning to improve the health of the world’s people

4. Membership • By invitation to baccalaureate and graduate nursing students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and to nurse leaders exhibiting exceptional achievements in nursing.

7. Honor Society in WA • First step – 18 months “probation” • Three universities – Curtin, ECU, UWA • Fees and all income to the Honor Society • Once become a chapter – STTI in USA sets their fees and we add a fee to allow us to operate • STTI does not have any ownership of the Chapter Funds • While Honor Society – we do not have any access to STTI.

8. Member Eligibility/ Honor or STTI • Students – CWA of 75+ - ½ completed – demonstrating academic integrity • Registered Nurses enrolled in postgrad programs – i.e. course work Masters – CWA of 75+ - ½ completed - demonstrating academic integrity • PhD and Research Masters students – CWA of 80+ - ¼ completed – but if no coursework then just ¼ completed - demonstrating academic integrity • Clinical Nurses – must have a bachelor degree, demonstrate achievement in nursing – guide http://www.nursingsociety.org/Membership/ApplyNow/Pages/nl_memcriteria.aspx • Nurse Academics – Level C and above
