  1. Bledsoe ROM Elbow brace Presented by The Training Room, Inc.

  2. Indications: • Usually used in Post surgical applications of the elbow where controlled movement is necessary. IE: Bicep tendon rupture • Often used in traumatic elbow dislocations after reduction. • Severe or recalcitrant Epicondylitis.

  3. Contraindications: • No real contraindications • Biggest contraindication would be for latex allergies- the straps contain latex

  4. Bledsoe ROM Elbow in packageComes in small and large sizes which can be expanded and contracted to fit most elbows

  5. Items found in the package:One braceone package of screw driver and screws as well as instruction manual and ROM stops

  6. Adjust ROM stops on the dialCheck fit: should extend at least ½ of upper arm and to wrist distally

  7. Adjust upper arm by opening adjustment tab and moving holes to appropriate location

  8. Check for appropriate fit

  9. Form arm metal straps to contour of arm

  10. Make sure dial is centered over elbow

  13. Brace locked at 90 degrees with upper arm bands expanded as well as proximal arm band

  14. Open the distal cuff as shown to allow wrist to fit comfortably but snuggly

  15. Making sure the ROM dial is aligned with the elbow place distal wrist cuff on the patient and carefully place remaining cuffs on the affected arm

  16. Once you are sure of the fit securely screw in the Phillips head screws in the four holes

  17. Reapply the ROM brace and carefully shape the cuffs to the patients arm

  18. Trim each strap to fit the patient and securely tighten with the velcro straps

  19. Brace in the appropriate position with all straps secured

  20. Brace applied with the supplied arm sling. This simply wraps around the distal bar of the brace.
