  9. How well do you know your ELLs? • Do you know if your “Asian” student is Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino? • Do you know if your Spanish speaker is from Mexico, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Colombia, etc.? • Do you know if your Chinese student speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, or Hmong?
