Greenland’s Traditions • They have two New Year's: a Danish New Year at 8:00 and a Greenlandic New Year at midnight • On traditions, girls wear a silk dress with glass beads on it. Men wear Holmensklaede (Island cloth) • Lights are brightened on the first day of Advent. They put up red and orange Christmas stars and don’t take them down till January 6th
