  2. The 4th Man in the Furnace Despite the impending discipline The Lord reassures and reaffirms his love and commitment. • ‘I have summonsed you, you are mine.’ 43:1 • ‘I am the Lord your God, your saviour, I give Egypt for your ransom’. 43v3 • ‘You are precious and honoured in my sight.’ 43:4
