  22. Memorandum of Agreement for CTE Dual Credit • Identifies college and district partners. • Signed by college partners and school district partners. • Provides a framework and operational structure for colleges and districts to implement through direct transcription.

Funding and Fees • High Schools retain full 1.0 of state basic funding for each full-time student. • Colleges do not receive funding. • Fee may be assessed based on Memorandum of Agreement between the high school and the Community Technical College. • Student doesn’t pay tuition for approved classes. • Material fees may apply. • May assess participating students a fee to offset the costs associated with direct transcription.

Transcription • Once student is enrolled, the Dual Credit course appears on the high School transcript with a “T”. • Course appears on a college transcript when the student submits evidence of course completion with a grade of “B” or better to the partner college, usually when enrolling in a related program at the partner college.

  27. Procedural Steps for Students

Articulation agreement between individual college and school • Each program covered under agreement will have an articulation agreement signed by college and school district designees from each participating institution. • Identifies high school/course title, college/course title, and credits. • Define the criteria for equivalency and granting of credit. • Awards courses and credits using Direct transcription based upon common letter grading standards and a standardized transcription process.

Statewide Enrollment and Reporting System (SERS) Online tool official CTE Dual Credit registration site for Washington state and includes: • Registration login for CTE Dual Credit students, staff, teachers, consortium members, district users and registrars. • Helps students track their grades. • High school teachers enter grades and credits when a student successfully completes a dual credit course. • Colleges use information to award college credit and document completed courses on each student’s college transcript. • Search tool to find CTE Dual Credit articulations by school district, high school, college and career clusters.
