Sydney 2009 World Masters Games • Sydney will host 7th World Masters Games • SWMGOC, Sport Organising Committees (SOC), GAC • 9 days of competition (10 – 18 October) • some sports have official practice sessions • 28 sports and 72 venues throughout Sydney • 28,292 competitors • Up to 6,000 volunteers, officials & staff (inc 500 medical)

What you receive from the Games • Behind-the-scenes access and experiences • Access to Opening & Closing Ceremonies • Accreditation • Free Public Transport (buses, trains, ferries) • Free Tea / Coffee whilst on duty • Access to Workforce Thank You Function • Workforce Participation Certificate

  3. Accreditation • Official Accreditation Pass and Lanyard • Must be worn at all times with your uniform • If misplaced, visit the Games Centre before your next shift or obtain a day pass at your venue • MUST bring photo ID with you to collect your accreditation

  4. Cap Poncho Drink Bottle Bumbag Sunscreen Pen Workforce Pocket Guide Uniform Keep in mind where you will store your belongings while on duty – venues do not have safe, lockable areas

  5. Transport • Free access to Sydney suburban trains, buses and ferries when in uniform and wearing your accreditation pass (includes CityRail Nightride Buses) • Operates from Tuesday 6 October 2009 to Monday 19 October 2009 • Games Shuttle Bus Service will operate between most Games Venues and their closest Transport Hub (eg train station) • For general transport information call the Transport Infoline: 131 500 (toll free number) • Car parking at Games Venues can be limited and is not guaranteed

  6. Tea / Coffee • Tea/Coffee • By voucher or continuous service dependant on venue • Fill your drink bottle before each shift to keep up your fluids

  7. A Day in the Life of the Games • Arrive 15 mins before your rostered start time • Check-in at the Workforce Check-in & Break Area (see the Venue Supervisor) • Report to the first aid room or marquee • Break (during quiet time or as arranged with the Competition Manager and other medical personnel) • Handover to the next rostered medical workforce (if necessary) • Return any equipment • Check-out with the Venue Supervisor

  8. Opening Ceremony (ANZ Stadium) Sunday 11 October 2009 5.30pm – 9.30pm Entry with accreditation pass Closing Ceremony (Darling Harbour) Sunday 18 October 2009 7.00pm – 11.00pm Entry with accreditation pass Opening & Closing Ceremonies
