  9. College Testing • January 10 – Info Night @ 7PM • Issues: timeline; goals; which tests • ACT v SAT • What is a good score? • New SAT: more like ACT, essay optional • PSAT: scores in Dec., May prediction tables • Big Picture, test-optional

PSAT Day: Oct. 19 • PSAT: use regular email (NOT fcpsschools.net) • Juniors register with $17 and form online • Dec. 12 email to access scores; reports to GCM later • Names must match what entered on Oct. 19 • Link scores to Khan Academy for official prep • Prep some so scores are valid: • Pick up guides tonight + Khan Acad. and College Board • Remember relative role of scores in admissions and test-optional schools
