Supporting Your student’s academic focus Encouraging your student to explore options – participate in a job shadow, volunteer, consider part-time work, join clubs Helping your student get the most out of present work Be patient. There is time to help your student explore and plan. No test prep courses necessary this early. More focused work begins junior year.
