  2. Do not be sluggish!Heb. 6:11-12 • Little movement, slow, inactive • Be fervent: • zeo: To boil with heat, be hot (Rom. 12:11) • ektenes: To stretch out, stretch forth…intently, strenuously, instantly, earnestly (1 Pet. 4:8) • energeo: “to be operative, be at work, put forth power” (Jas. 5:16)

  7. Be FerventHebrews 6:12 • The spiritually sluggish do not inherit the promises of God! • Fervent in spirit (as servants of God) • Fervent in love (with a pure heart) • Fervent in prayer (blessings from God) • In view of the fervent heat to come!
