  2. The aim of this session is to introduce some IT essentials so that you can start to use computing facilities effectively from Day 1. Topics include: Logging in and passwords Storing data Printing A survey of what software is available A quick look at systems: SDS, Moodle etc

Logging in – a few extra hints • If your Kent login is xyz55 then login to… • Wifi (eduroam) as xyz55@kent.ac.uk • Student email as xyz55 on campus PCs… • but otherwise (e.g. via your phone) asxyz55@kentforlife.net • Online services (SDS, moodle, etc) as xyz55BUT if you’re not on the campus you may need to change that to ukc\xyz55.
