Introduction On Earth, gravity affects everything we do. We can’t predict how our usual objects will react in space. That’s why NASA did a project called ” Toys in space “ and we’ll show you how these toys reacted Colegiul National
Why ? • Gravity:Onearth, every toy is affected to some extent by the pull of gravity • Energy conservation:Every object has Kinetic Energy. An astronaut trying to move a toy in space must find a source for the energy needed by the toy Colegiul National
Why ? • Microgravity:In space toys experience “weightlesness” or “zero gravity” • Momentum conservation:Objects in action have momentun. In a collision, momentum is conserved. When one object loses momentum another one has to gain it Colegiul National
Why? • Inertia:Objects in motion tend to stay in motion and objects at rest tend to stay at rest.An astronaut must exert a force to cause a toy to change its motion. <- The NASA Video where it is recorded a short documentary about Toys in space Colegiul National

The space yoyo In space, the yoyo will not sleep because there is no force to stop it. If the string is Released on the way out, the yoyo will wind up its string while moving forward. Colegiul National

Rat stuff, the flipping mouse In space the “Rat Stuff” could not stay on the wall long enough to work.Astronauts had to use hand cream in order to make the toy sticky enough to work properly. Colegiul National
The space Wheelo Magnetism is the same in space as it is on Earth,so the wheel does stick to the track.By slinging the wheel sideways in a circular arc the wheel starts by using a combination of inertia and centripetal force Colegiul National
