Some examples………. • Administering test incorrectly (wrong time/date) • Inappropriate use of access arrangements • Over ‘aiding’ pupils during the test • Changing the pupils answers after the test • Use of inappropriate equipment • Photocopying test papers without permission from NAA • Pupils cheating

Statutory Assessment in KS2 2005/06 What are the consequences? • LA has to investigate and NAA issues a ‘specification’ – details of allegation, who should be interviewed, list of questions for investigation • LA sends report to NAA • Script investigations – may use forensic exam. if appropriate! • Maladministration committee makes decisions • Schools have right to appeal to independent panel
