Statutory Assessment in KS2 2005/06 What are the consequences? • LA has to investigate and NAA issues a ‘specification’ – details of allegation, who should be interviewed, list of questions for investigation • LA sends report to NAA • Script investigations – may use forensic exam. if appropriate! • Maladministration committee makes decisions • Schools have right to appeal to independent panel
