  4. BOYS Studies show that boys are more active and independent. Also more rough tough and dirty 

  5. GIRLS ~Girls are more passive, dependant, and daintier.

  6. ~Sociologist blame biology…..and said mothers make boy want too play outside and get dirty. ~They make girls want to be hugged.

  7. Other people that have a influence on children are kids from school or in there peer group. A Peer Group is a group of people roughly the same age who are linked by commend interest. PEER GROUP

  8. ~MASS MEDIA~ ~Mass Media-Forms of communication that’s are directed to Large audiences.

  9. *ADVERTISING* ~ the average US child watches about 25,000 commercials a year. They show girls as cooperative, and boys as aggressive.

  10. TELEVISION ~ On TV males tend to out number women. Also men are portrayed in higher position then women.

  11. TELEVISION • Women athletes don’t receive much coverage. • When covered they make sex objects out of them and they focus on humorous events. • Last they show them as powerful yet gorgeous.

  12. VIDEO GAME ~College students mainly men play video games to release stress. ~Sociologist aren't sure how games portray sexes in game. ~4-6 year olds play video games at least a hour a day on average.

  13. ANIME ~anime targets kids with the violence and action.
