BBS Track™ • Why conduct a job hazard analysis (JHA)? • To identify existing or potential job hazards. • To help establish and properly document safety procedures. • To train employees in safer, more efficient work practices. • To determine the best way to perform a job. • To establish ways to reduce or eliminate any identified hazards.

BBS Track™ • JHAs are required: • In any work environment where PPE is required. • In all situations where there is a reasonable chance that an employee could be injured. • For compliance with OSHA Standards (PPE, VPP, CSE, LO/TO, Fall Protection, etc.) • In an effective behavior-based safety program.

BBS Track™ • The importance of safety observations: • Safety observations created from JHAs can help you: • Detect areas in need of additional training or attention. • Identify these areas before an incident occurs. • Track “at-risk-behaviors” before they result in a claim. • Pinpoint areas that need attention within your organization. • Create corrective actions that can be assigned to the appropriate personnel.
