Consultation & Workshop • Consultation Paper published (11th Nov): • "Second Consultation on Possible National Rollout Scenarios for the Smart Metering Cost Benefit Analysis" (CER/10/197). • Refines the issues raised in previous consultation (CER/10/082) and presents a number of proposals by the CER for adoption as working assumptions for a full smart metering rollout to be used in the cost benefit analysis. • objectives • business/data requirements, • systems functionality requirements • high level implementation timelines • Respondents are invited to comment on these proposals by 14th Jan 2011. • Workshop at 1.45pm on 24th Nov 2010 in Alexander Hotel, Dublin 2 to clarify any queries relating to the contents of the CER/10/197. • Further info. on consultation & workshop via: www.cer.ie/en/information-centre-reports-and-publications.aspx
Phase 1 Update • ESBN Technology Trials completed Sept 2010: • Findings presented to SMWG/SG & included as appendix to CER/10/197 (detailed report to follow) • Dual fuel trial ongoing with BGN • Electricity Customer Behaviour Trials: • (Residential & SME) conclude 31st Dec 2010 • Post-trial Surveys during Jan 2010 • Findings report Feb/Mar 2010 • Gas Customer Behaviour Trials (Residential & SME) continue to 31st May 2011. • Prepayment Trial Phase 2 in progress with 30 customers – may extend beyond end-Dec. • CBA data being collected from ESBN & ESBCS – template to be created for other suppliers to complete.
