Volume Volume – the measure of the amount of space that a figure encloses. It is always measured in cubic units.
Volume of a prism V=Bh where V is the volume, h is the height of the prism (from base to base) and B is the area of the base (base can be any polygon so use the appropriate area formula)
Volume of a Cylinder V=πr²h where V is the volume, r is the radius and h is the height of the cylinder.
Cavalieri’s Principle If 2 solids have the same height and the same cross-sectional area at every level, then they have the same volume.
