  3. Who are the Religious of the Sacred Heart? • An order of Catholic women religious serving in over 45 countries • Our mission is to discover, live and announce the love of the heart of Christ in the world today • Founded by St. Madeline Sophie in France in 1800

  6. Here’s this year’s youth coordinating team: From l-r: Gabriel (Dominican Republic), Ana (DR), Sr. De Stefanis, Sr. Gonzalez, Claudia (Mexico), Maria (Mexico), Sarah (US). All are former volunteers, except for the nuns.

  19. In Mexico volunteers live in pairs with host families known by local Religious of the Sacred Heart

  20. In Louisiana, volunteers live in the boarding school of the Academy of the Sacred Heart

  21. It is very safe!! Volunteers do not roam around alone. Days are full, well-planned & supervised. This includes weekends. We do most everything as a group. We all live close to one another – staff & volunteers alike Parents are given phone numbers & can call at any time. Volunteers have access to the internet to stay in e-mail contact. Cost=$300 program fee + roundtrip airfare. It is very safe!! THINGS PARENTS LIKE TO KNOW:
