  1. COMMUNITY WORKS FUND

  2. PURPOSE • To provide annual funding to local governments for five years in relatively predictable amounts.

  3. BASIC TERMS Community Works Fund can be: • Used for eligible projects (Schedule A) • Used to pay for eligible costs (Schedule B) • Provided the recipient abides by the terms and conditions (Schedule C and CWFA) Reporting is the obligation.

  4. HOW TO ACCESS FUNDING • Sign the CWF Agreement (to be distributed by UBCM); • Return the signed Agreement to UBCM; • UBCM will issue your first installment immediately; • Second installment to be issued before the end of November, 2005.

  9. ANNUAL CYCLE • By Jul. 31/06 • Receive first 06 installment • By Nov. 30/06 • Receive second installment • On Dec. 31 • Record 05/06 fund expenditures and balances • By Jun. 30/07 • Report on use of 2005 funds (what was built)

  10. MORE DETAIL ON FUNDING • Floor plus per capita amount • Floors for • 05/06 $25,000 • 06/07 $25,000 • 07/08 $31,583 • 08/09 $38,478 • 09/10 $50,000 Populations will be BC Stats July 04 that may be adjusted as of the 06 census.

  11. NEW ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • For UBCM • For local government • entitlement funding • For UBCM and local government relationship
