School Procedures • School begins promptly at 8.35 a.m. • Try to avoid excessive lateness and absences • If your child is absent, please send in a note the next day • Children are expected and encouraged to be respectful towards adults and peers. • YPS Code of Conduct is strictly enforced • Please call the school or write a note if your child will not be taking the bus or if your child is getting picked up by someone not listed on the emergency card. • Uniform should be worn EVERYDAY.

NYS TEST DATES • Math Test Dates - May 1st - May 3rd , 2018 • May 1st– Part 1 Multiple Choice without Calculator • May 2nd– Part 2 Multiple Choice with Calculator • May 3rd– Part 3 Short Answer Response without Calculator
Setting a goal is very important for your child to do. It reminds them of what they have to work on. Everyone has goals, including us teachers. Your child will be setting goals over the course of the year. It is important to help your child work on these goals at home as well. Also, we would like you as the parent to talk to your child about their goals. Make it a daily discussion! Goal Setting
Some examples of goals for September your child might have.. “I would like to score 80% and above on all math tests and quizzes.” “I want to be able to complete all my homework on a daily basis.” “I would like to improve my behavior overall.” “I want to work in a timely fashion which would allow me to complete my work for Math.”
