  18. Entry Level Firefighter / Foundation The entry level personnel is required by La. standards to complete FF-I. Members at this level are primarily supervised and have no data entry responsibilities.   26. Battalion Chief The Battalion Chief and Division Asst. Chief of Training, Prevention and EMS shall meet the requirements for NFPA 1021 Fire Officer II. The candidate shall meet the requirements of Fire Officer I as defined in NFPA 1021, Fire Instructor I as defined in NFPA 1041.   27. Assistant Chief The Admin. Chief shall meet the requirements for NFPA 1021 Fire Officer III. The candidate shall meet the requirements of Fire Officer II as defined in NFPA 1021, Fire Instructor II as defined in NFPA 1041.   33. Communication ( FCO 2) The FCO 2 Officer shall meet the requirements for NFPA 1061 Public Safety Telecommunication II. Recommended Training and Education • NFA Interpersonal Dynamics (NFA Certified) • Records Management • Associates Degree Public Safety Communications (APCO/Jacksonville University) or equivalent degree program with focus on public safety management. The candidate shall meet the requirements of Fire Officer III as defined in NFPA 1021, Policies and procedures; local, state/provincial, and federal regulations; community demographics; community issues; and formal and informal community leaders.
