Recap Eau Claire Jazz Inc. • Non-profit organization to promote Jazz in the Chippewa Valley • Run primarily by student volunteers • New organization with many IT needs
Organizational Problem • Too much paper usage during festival • 20 reams (10,000 sheets) • Information spread over several locations • Unnecessary Repetition • Difficult to produce reports
IT Objective Integrate a reliable registration database to house school information and produce required reports to aid in the success of the Jazz Festival.

Testing • Alpha • Enter test data to ensure from functionality • Create reports based on queries we’ve written • Test cases • Invalid data • Duplication • Beta • Select a few users to test system usability
Implementation • Cut-over installation • Not a very complex system from user standpoint • Remove duplication of data in two systems • Database run from a server share on campus • Organization has access to several computers
Training • Will train executive director and a few volunteers • Find IS majors that will want to volunteer for ECJ • Documentation • Project website • User manual

Network Specs • This slide describes the servers etc…
Security • Database stored on server that only allows ECJ users. • Database permissions set to only allow certain ECJ users. • Files backed up nightly as part of university procedure. • Possibility of third backup method
