Project History • LLNL V58 Design for NEH / XRT • Alternative Design Proposal / 12-15-08 • Improved understanding of future expansion. • Design and conserve open space. • Presented Budget and Schedule for XRT Design Change • 200 + 300 + 259 = $ 759 K$ • Limited Account Approval January 06, 2009 / XRT Manufacture • Requested all Materials & Equipment in January • All major orders now placed. • Added XPP and LLNL Interfaces to Hutches 1,2,3. • Added CD4 X-ray detection in Hutch 4 alcove. • Partnered with SLAC MFD for Practice and Procedure • Integrated CXI, XCS, & Future Requirements • Photon Controls • Rack Placement and Tunnel Power Order let. • Phase 7 Cable Requirement Updated
System Requirements • Detailed Vacuum Design– LCLS 1.5-002 • UHV Compatible • All parts cleaned and assembled by MFD to SLAC UHV Specification • Peak pressure < 10E-5 Torr • Greater than 10 year pump life (87 K Hours) • SLAC Performance Expectation • Out gassing / Chemical Clean with No Bake / 5 X E-11 torr-1/cm^2 @ 20 Days • Measured lower at LCLS DUMP • Worst Case Condition • Maximum Pump Pressure / 3.4 X E-8 Torr • Maximum System Pressure / 4.2 X E-7 Torr • Gamma Life Data is 400 KH at 1 X E-7 Torr • Pump Life > 40 years. • Schedule • CD-4 • Milestone - Beam to FEH is 3/10/2110 • P3 • XRT Components Installed – Early Finish _ 7-21-2009
