Machine Control • Human Machine Interface – HMI • Monitor screen • Keyboard • Mouse or Touchpad • Programmable logic controllers - PLC • Main PLC • Motion Controller
What is HMI? • HMI is the device that allows an operator to control, interact with, or adjust a Machine. That includes hardware (physical) and software (logical) components. • The HMI provide two way of communication: • Input, allowing the users to manipulate a system • Output, allowing the system to indicate the effects of the users' manipulation
What is PLC? • PLC controls the automatic process in machine. There are multiple devices which are responsible for different processes. • Main PLC is the core of machine and control all processes and other PLC • Motion Controller control motion of servo motors and sensors connected to motors
Why we use Motion Controller • It is used to achieve some benefits: • increased position and speed accuracy • higher speeds • faster reaction time • smoother movements • reduction in costs
Interact with machine • First power on the machine. And wait until on screen all loaded and Kombis Interface Program loaded and ready to use. Time for loading don’t exceed 50 – 60 seconds. • Prepare machine for running by checking current condition. Check power to modules and release Emergency stop buttons if needed. • Change Work mode to Capping Station. Press STEP button on Capping station to be sure that every module is ready. Repeat until there is one rotate of Index block • Change Work mode to BodyMaker. Press AUTO button on bodymakerand check that everything is OK • Change Work mode to Normal and press AUTO button and machine will run as long as needed
Interact with machine • What is current condition of machine • On screen we see four modes • RESET – when you reset the PLC • STOP – when machine is stopped • STEP – when STEP button is pressed • AUTO – when machine work normally • The machine lights • Steady yellow light – machine is stopped or in RESET mode • Yellow light blinks – machine is stopped and need attention • Green light blink ones – STEP button is pressed • Steady green light – Machine works normally in AUTO mode
Interact with machine • How to change parameters • Use mouse to select desired parameter on screen and change with clicks on arrows (up/down) in the field • Use keyboard – after selecting parameter use arrow keys Up/Down to change
